DETECTAMESH® detectable mesh is a coloured tape for marking and detecting buried underground cables and pipes. DETECTAMESH® detectable mesh can be used in conjunction with cable & pipe locators for precisely locating plastic pipes and non-live cables in future excavations. DETECTAMESH® can be laid as a trenching tape half way between the cable or pipe and the surface during backfill. DETECTAMESH® detectable mesh is manufactured from high strength coloured rot resistant homopolymer polypropylene plastic mesh incorporating a 0.7mm AISI 316 grade stainless steel tracer wire and laminated with a printed warning tape on the top surface.

Detectaccessories To ensure a continuous signal along the DETECTAMESH® detectable mesh it is important to use our stainless steel wire crimps and crimping tool. The wire crimps give the join sufficient strength to cope with most back fills. If the tapes are not installed correctly then a continuous signal may not pass from join to join.
